Frank Jenkins a real estate broker at 28 School Street in Atlantic was robbed of cash a gold watch and checks totaling about 2500 in the hallway of 82 Albion Street yesterday afternoon by three young men. Jenkins later picked three men arrested in another division as suspects, identifying them at Station 4.
Inspectors Hart and Conway, acting on a captain’s tip, arrest three men in a Pleasant street pool room after a Tremont street robbery. The group identified as James McCarthy 22 Robin Finklestein 25 and Fred Foster 25 allegedly planned and executed the Jenkins hold up. First ballot chose the first four. the last two were elected on the second ballot.
In a written ballot the caucus nominated nineteen men with Gardner of Massachusetts leading insurgents at 33 votes. Tawney pressed a six-man slate but an open ballot was favored. Payne of New York supported informal voting. On first tally Smith of Town led with 168 votes, Boutell 146, Lawrence 126, Fassett 113, and Gardner 88 among others. The second ballot favored Smith and Boutell as insurgent strength remained modest. Democrats plan to name minority members tomorrow. final election set Friday. Norris called the process fair and satisfactory, though he would not have chosen the same slate.
Kansas City dispatch reports Edward Payson Weston reached a farm house near Atherton 17 miles northeast of Kansas City at 10 pm after 40 miles. He will resume toward Chicago tomorrow morning and hopes to reach the city a week from next Saturday night. Weston is ten days ahead of his planned schedule and did not visit his wife and daughter who live in Weston.

Several others grazed by bullets.
A Baltimore & Ohio northbound train from Washington to Jersey City halted at Wilmington's Delaware avenue station after a deadly conflict in Newark. Passenger J H Bethea shot porter Samuel Williams and conductor O E Wellman, killing both. Bethea then killed himself as police closed in following a two hour siege.
Bethea, cornered by police, opened fire from a toilet doorway with an automatic revolver. Chief Black, rushing to the station, dodged behind an express office to escape several bullets as officers and bystanders looked on.
