AID REFUSED, Toga Storm King and Confidence say they spoke the brig Emily T Sheldon off Capo God. At 145 PM Monday the brig’s rudder head was gone and aid was offered but refused. The master ran for the beach as wind was light west with heavy undertow. The vessel struck Peaked Hull Bars around 3 PM.
