Baltimore March 22 Physicians attending Cardinal Gibbons announced an unfavorable turn in his illness though no immediate danger was seen. Monsignor John Bonzano visited him this afternoon. The 87 year old prelate had heart weakness and a lowered temperature since Sunday night, with Bishop Corrigan coordinating the notice to friends.

John Flannigan of Defiance Ohio died at home after a brief pneumonia illness. A nine year old boy, he was reputed to be the oldest Elk in the United States. He was initiated into the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks at age 88.
