A mysterious letter warning of kidnapping arrived at Fred R. Hill’s home in South Boston at 467 East Eighth Street. The five year old daughter Marion Alice Hill vanished soon after. Pastor Revives After 14 Hours Declared Dead

In Berne, Rev. Mr. Baudenbacher, 50, long a heart disease patient, supposedly died after unconsciousness Friday. A death certificate and funeral plans were published. He woke 14 hours later to find flowers and mourners, saying his call has not yet come. Farewell notices were postponed as doctors said he may live many years.

Famous Singer James Rattigan Dies at 42

James Henry Rattigan, renowned American oratorio singer and painter, died at his home in Allston after a brief illness. A 42 year old, he had recently been named director of the Cathedral choir by Cardinal O Connell to replace the late Pio Di Luca. He was the soloist at St Patrick s night celebrations.

President Harding spent over two hours at Walter Reed Hospital greeting wounded soldiers and assessing their needs. Accompanied by Mrs. Harding and Dr. C E Sawyer, he toured wards and entertainment rooms and urged a government policy to honor the soldiers of the great war. Battle near Kinsall Cork intensifies as crown forces hold line

In the Kinsall area of County Cork, crown forces faced fierce ambushes by Republicans until reinforcements turned the tide.
