Riot at Wolverhampton erupts in English Irish clash
A violent riot broke out in Wolverhampton Staffordshire with about 3000 participants using firearms and knives. No fatal injuries were reported and order was restored as authorities anticipated no repeat of the disturbance. In Cork three men arrested over Bank of England forgery were released after no evidence tied them to the crime.
