Financed Reorganization Plans Involving St Joseph and Western
The St Joseph and Western bondholders issue a circular outlining a proposed reorganization that would combine the St Joseph and Western with the Hastings and Grand Island railroads and the St Joseph bridge company. It plans to foreclose current mortgages and issue new first mortgage bonds totaling 7,000,000 dollars with exchanges aimed at Union Pacific holdings and other securities for back coupons and stock swaps. The plan projects a future profit contingent on improved railroad earnings and a new capitalization structure.
