Sluggish Havana Sugar Market Shows Mixed Activity

Foreign markets report Havana sugar trading with modest activity as planters meet low offers, while US and European demand remains weak. Exports last month reached 49,128 boxes from Havana and 25,860 from Matanzas, with stock around 30,000 boxes and quotes across varieties. Freights rise as shipping remains scarce, and exchange rates drift lower with sterling and Paris and New York quotes noted.
