Detroit nominating actions at Democratic State Convention

Detroit March 14 The Democratic State Convention nominated Sanford M. Green for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and William M. Ferry Jr and Ebenezer Wells for Regents of the University. Resolutions denounced the Reconstruction bill and declared enfranchisement of negroes and disfranchisement of whites by pretended Congressional action unconstitutional and revolutionary.
