In Oyster Bay on March 12, former President Roosevelt told a tall colored youth his hope to again carry a Roosevelt banner could depend on time. The remark marks his first direct suggestion he might be open to public service if asked, stirring political discussion.
Colonel and Mrs. Roosevelt met townspeople at Oyster Bay Town Hall from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. with shaking hands and farewell greetings. Notables, including Congressman W. W. The items included five diamond rings, one turquoise ring, a diamond stud, and two diamond stickpins.

LaCroix, pursued by Bridgeport police, dashed through a flag stretched across a Fairfield road, tearing it free and dragging it a block. He faces City Court in New Haven on a pending technical charge and is charged in Fairfield with reckless driving and state automobile law violations.
