Health report shows 5000 MacArthur troops sick in Philippines
The Manila dated January 15 report from Colonel Greenleaf to Surgeon General Sternberg states that 67 415 command strength had 17 49 percent sick about 5000 men. The weekly hospital tally lists 2400 sick including 800 malaria 26 dysentery 23 wounds and injuries with eighty three deaths in the month ending January 15, last.
