The Fifth Division patrolman George FE Weldon was dismissed by the police commissioners on a rule violation. Sixty Fifth Anniversary of Massachusetts Lodge in Odd Fellows Hall

The Massachusetts lodge No 1 N C O F celebrated its 65th anniversary with a promenade concert at Odd Fellows hall. 175 couples attended as 16 figures were danced to Edmands orchestra. A shadow dance followed when gas lit the hall with red fire transforming the floor. Bon bons were distributed. Eben S Corson supervised the floor with six aids. Sammel B Krogman led reception as P G M chairman with Thos W Brown Jr P G secretary Eben Corson P G treasurer and 11 others. Tufts catered a supper for 400 guests.

Senate adjourns with liquor bill debates and railway mergers

In the senate on Wednesday the twelfth joint rule was suspended to admit petitions from Fitchburg railroad for uniting with Boston Barre and Gardiner, from a Barre library association and from Lavinia Cook for state aid.
