Tragic suicide attempt ends in death at Roxbury lodging

Elmer Wormer aged 34 attempted suicide at his lodgings 1 Farnham Place Roxbury on March 1 by firing a 52 calibre revolver. He was taken to City Hospital where he died yesterday afternoon. He was a widower and described as despondent.

City to elect city solicitor at special council meeting

The common council schedules a special meet ing next Friday evening for the election of a city solicitor. Dennis O'Brien, 53, died yesterday at the city yards on Hampshire street. He leaves a wife and seven children. A Cambridge Armory Hall event last night featured Messrs F C Goon Co and L De Packhill with Floyd Co Coon directing and several assistants. The Peak family of Alaska performed at North Avenue Congregational Church. A 4 pm City Hall meeting planned to arrange a 25th war enlistment anniversary for the first Cambridge company, led by Captain James P. Richardson, with about thirty surviving members. Charles Copp is among the drum corps members. his drum rests in the Mayor's City Hall office. A military parade, collation, and speeches are planned. The meeting is called by Daniel H. Thurston, Francis J. Chapman, Charles H. Saunders and Joan Livermore.
