Spinners Union Elects New Treasurer in Fall River Meeting

Fall River Mass March 16 The spinners union held its monthly meeting with fair attendance and elected a new treasurer to fill a vacancy from a resignation. The financial report showed 270 paid out to unemployed members in five weeks through the Slade fund. Including the quarter’s disbursements for mill stoppages, accidents, and other relief, total aid reached 320. Secretary Howard presented a glum print cloth market outlook but remained hopeful for improvement.
