Senate schedules Overseer for Harvard College vacancy

The Senate set 24 o'clock yesterday for choosing an Overseer of Harvard College to replace Geo Morey who resigned. Debates covered selling Western Railroad shares, chartering United States Steamship Company with a 1 million capital, and ports between states and British provinces. House members discussed Metropolitan Police support, election returns accuracy, and a Kansas and Missouri Land Company bill that failed 54 to 73.
