Death at Thorndike Hotel After Escape From Asylum
Agnes Ruddock, a patient at Dr Winkley's asylum on Massachusetts Avenue, died by suicide at the Thorndike Hotel after escaping the asylum. She rented a room as Miss A R Riggs Lowell wore a blue dress with black trim and carried a leather pocketbook. Police alerted the asylum and identified the death. the poison, cyanide of potassium, was taken from a glass in the room. Her brother in Wakefield was notified.
