Massachusetts legislative party examined the Storm King to Breakneck Mountain site for a Hudson River bridge. They proposed bonds not exceeding 5 million dollars to guarantee construction interest. Mt. Washington, March 6. Mr. E J Yarnham of the Manchester union began ascent Wednesday morning in good weather aiming to return by afternoon. A 5 snowstorm halted him on the mountain, but he reached the signal station in three and a half hours and, after a period of severe weather, descended safely in the afternoon.
Springfield Ohio March 6 in a joint convention two votes were cast Haines backed Bishop and Streeter backed Black Streeter said after this week he would vote daily for someone until a United States senator was chosen He claimed he had served the Republican party long enough and would vote for a Democrat until an election was completed The joint convention adjourned.

Lawrenceburg Ind March 6 William Corbin of Gainesville Ky and John Gaines of the same county met in Grant County after Gaines shot Corbin's dog. A short range gunfight ensued with Corbin mortally wounding Gaines and Gaines dying later that night.

Lawrence Massachusetts early Saturday morning a man named Richard Duress was stabbed five times by a assailant identified as Farrell. Farrell was later arrested by local authorities responding to the incident.
