George E Fisher of Stoughton Stumbles into Marriage Arrest

A Boston marriage arrest draws in a 19 year old from Stoughton named George E Fisher after being wed in Boston by a justice of the peace. Pearl Vivian White of Canton aged 17 is the bride. The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children is linked to the case as guardianship questions loom. The arrest was led by Inspector Cleary with warrant sworn by Inspector Mahoney. Speedwell Capsizes Off Marquesas As Nine Die At Sea

The schooner Speedwell from Marco to Key West was struck by a squall off Marquesas eighteen miles from Key West. Nine people drowned including Captain Collier's three children and the Nichols family. Survivors included Captain Collier, deckhands Samuel Cates and Jesse Green, and passenger R W Bates. They reached Marquesas then Bridgeport.
