Wells a New York book publisher leaped from an express train as it passed Newington station, ran at thirty miles per hour, performed ground and lofty tumbling, and sustained a badly broken arm a head injuries and external and internal body injuries. Superintendent Reed rode a hand car to reach him fearing death in the cold. a switchman found him and brought him to a nearby dwelling.

Young Felix Sentenced For Arms Try Into Cuba

A Providence Post report notes Felix, a Bristol native with a respected background, was sentenced to ten years in an African chain gang for attempting to convey arms into Cuba. His mother hailed from Bristol and had substantial local ties.
