A Chefoo despatch states Japanese forces are storming Port Arthur again and the attack could lead to capture or destruction of the fortress. Fire has started from shells fired by the bombardment fleet.
The dispatches from northern Corea report a Russian army of about 50,000 in battle array near Anju after seizing a strategic position there. A large Japanese force moves to oppose the advance, with fighting expected soon. Anju, an important town about 50 miles south of the Yalu River, may indicate Russian progress beyond prior reports.
