New Boston Worcester electric line opens July 2

Boston Athletic Association Faces Possible Exclusion Over Rowing Clash

Dr. Hugh Cabot of the New England Amateur Rowing Association states that the Boston Athletic Association will not be asked to rejoin the group despite tonight's meeting. The committee's full findings on the so called dead clubs may be delayed, with preliminary remarks expected and July 4 entries under review.

Elevator disaster at Heinz plant injures 23 in crowded car

In Pittsburg on June 29 a shaft break at the H J Heinz Company Allegheny plant sent a five story elevator cage plunging 45 feet. Twenty three people, mostly visitors, were injured and at least two were thought to die. An alcohol fueled crowding caused the failure according to plant physician Dr J S Philips. Rescue crews rushed to the scene as workers looked on.

Lost Hat and Skirt Spark Back Bay Domestic Drama

In a leather shop on South Street last night a husband Sparrow from Hyde Park followed his wife after she met a young man and entered a cab. The pair were tailed by the husband and his friend, with two cabmen drawn in. At Station 4 the woman and her male companion considered a complaint, then left with the woman apparently claiming injury to her hat and skirt. The scene involved a private detective and an uneasy custody of a wager for counsel. All parties are known in Back Bay.
