Governor Crane Leads 1st Brigade Review at Framingham Camp

Governor Crane and entourage reviewed the First Brigade at Framingham Camp in 98 degree heat. General Mathews praised the parade, noting good alignments and excellent drill despite some spacing issues. The governor’s party included top officials and many ladies. the day closed with a band concert and retreat.

Shirt waist attire sparks cold reception at Haywood Hotel

A young man wearing a shirt waist garment faced a chilly reception in the Danish room at the Haywood Hotel yesterday afternoon. He argued in favor of the fashion before leaving quietly as others were denied service in that department.
