Yale Varsity Crew Wins Tight Race At New London Meet
Yale edged Harvard in the headline varsity race by four boat lengths with a 20 20 time to Harvard 20 33 as President Roosevelt watched from the Dolphin. Harvard led in the four oared event where Cambridge won and the freshman race ended in a draw after a late Yale surge. The grand crowd, yachts along the Thames, and a near perfect day framed a historic Yale Harvard regatta.
