Henry C. Tyler aged 40 a Brookline resident and superintendent of the Boston Dispensary shot himself at Lyden Green. He believed himself insane and left a card stating his intent to take his own life. He was found face down outside his wife’s estate by Mrs. Frederick Tyler who is not related.
Mr Tyler, longtime Boston Dispensary superintendent and popular figure among the poor, was found dead with two bullets after self inflicted harm. Neighbors heard no gunfire. he had recently suffered melancholy linked to business matters. He lived with Allan Mason on University Road, Brookline, with no clear motive or reason for the act.
A boy released a white mouse aboard the ferry Ashburnham on the Boston Revere Beach line causing a brief panic among women on the forward deck. The crowd at dance pavilion bound trip fled from the heat as murmurs of rats spread, but the mouse was recaptured after about ten minutes and order returned.
In New Haven, Yale beats Harvard 14 to 6 before a crowd of about 14,000 during Yale commencement. Meyer pitched for Yale as Harvard's nine offered little resistance, ending with a fruitless late rally and heavy criticism of Harvard's effort.
Raymond Lee O Connor aged 14 of 89 Paul Gore Street Roxbury is praised for rescuing a man in distress near the flats off L Street South Boston on a Sunday afternoon. The boy swam to the drowning man and brought him ashore aided by others at the bathhouse.

Benjamin F. Lord an advertising agent of Waltham escaped unharmed after the auto he rode in was struck by a train three miles below Franklin. Early yesterday Mr Lord and three friends rode in an automobile toward Providence. At Wood's Crossing the car braked failed, the cow catcher fouled the vehicle, and it was dragged 50 yards before overturning. Lord, thrown 30 feet, died of natural causes. his companions suffered injuries but recovered. The body was taken to Walham and viewed by Dr Gallison.

Miss Elizabeth Loving described in court how Theodore Estes allegedly drugged and assaulted her during a buggy ride. She testified that her account, told to her father Judge William G Loving, led him to kill Estes. The account followed by exhaustion and memory gaps, with further disclosure at Kidd home.

Edward Sereno Hathaway age 60 of 57 Johnson street Lynn and Joseph Lauthier age 82 of Lowell are reported as victims in a fatal incident. The report states Hathaway died and Lauthier was injured in the same event. Authorities did not release further details.
