Weekly Review and Outlook on Stock Market Trends

A cautious week in markets with stagnant trading and a unsettled tone. Frank Vanderlip speaks forcefully for a conservative bull market while Adams Express stockholders receive a $24,000,000 surplus and Reading declares a regular dividend. Copper market discussions and large gold outflows to foreign centers follow. The Russian Duma dissolves and Russian stocks slump, later recovering. Total gold exports this season exceed $19,000,000 with ongoing demand from the Bank of France. Henry Clews notes new currency demand from crop-moving facilities under Treasury reforms, and potential steadier cash flow through national depositories. Near-term outlook points to a clearer money picture after early next month with a continued readjustment period and cautious, slower activity ahead. Copper shares fluctuate in local markets as part of the broader pause.
