Twenty Injured In Electric Car Overturn New Bedford

A Dartmouth & Westport Street Railway electric car with fifty passengers overturned at the foot of Smith Mills Hill in New Bedford at 2 0 p m. The car went off the track after a front wheel broke causing the rear wheels to leave the rails. The car crossed the road, toppled onto its side, and rammed a stone wall. Brakes were on but the rough road bed caused the mishap. Nine year old girl shot by boy on Warrenton street

Nine year old Jessie Laurie riding a bicycle on Warrenton street was hit in the right leg by a discharged revolver held by Daniel Reagan, eleven, who lives nearby. The bullet wounded the fleshy part of the leg but the injury is not dangerous. She was taken to City Hospital. The boy fled after the shooting and had not returned home by midnight.
