Youth fatally injured by shot put at Charlesbank
John Conroy a 16 year old spectator from South Boston was struck in the head by a 16 pound shot during a track event at Charlesbank Gymnasium. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with a fractured skull and is not expected to survive. Police report no arrest as the act is believed accidental.
