Walter Granville Shaw 41, long troubled with his wife, shoots at the home scene injuring his daughter Sarah Elizabeth Shaw and Henry L. Roberts. After wounding Roberts and severely beating his daughter, Shaw shoots himself behind the ear, dying at the station. A boarder named Morgan and a young woman were present. The daughter was wounded in the thigh, Roberts in the back. Police and doctors responded. Shaw had a bad reputation and the wife supported the family with boarders.
