In Beverly on June 16 Rev. Francis J. Curran of St. Marys Star of the Sea denounced Catholic members of secret societies within his church. He cited Archbishop Williams and Monsignor Satolli, saying the decree banning Catholic membership in Odd Fellows Knights of Pythias and Sons of Temperance remains in force and may withhold sacramental absolution.
