Historic church tied to siege of Boston torn down in 1874
Bunker Hill Day recalls an old church popular with patriotic sightseers for its link to the siege of Boston. In 1776 the British 29th regiment under General Gage used it as barracks. Today Leopold Morse Co. occupies the site with a five story building for men and boys clothing.
