Massachusetts delegates tangled over federal patronage in Boston amid a tense three hour struggle for the Democratic national committee seat won by Dr John W. Coughlin of Fall River after midnight push and cable messages involving ex-Governor.
An enraged woman stabbed Mrs Mary Slavin of 384 Hanover Street and then wounded her husband and son who came to aid. All three Slavin family members were hospitalized from the attack by the assailant.
A woman stabbed Mrs. Slavin in the left breast, her husband Samuel Slavin and their son Benjamin were also wounded when the assailant, who fled, clashed with the trio at the Hanover Street shop during a price dispute. Police expect the suspect to be captured soon.
Stamford society learned Mrs Gladys Peck Pushee younger daughter of Mr and Mrs Edward H Peck of Southfield Point Stamford married quietly Monday night in New Rochelle to Richard Salisbury Darling of Philadelphia manufacturer aged 26 who resides at the Bellevue Stratford Hotel Philadelphia.
Mrs. Peck, mother of the bride, says her daughter has not notified them of a marriage to Mr. Darling. Gladys has been in Boston about two weeks and has not announced any nuptials. Mrs. Darling is 22, previously married at 16 to Roy E. Pushee of West Newton, now divorced. Pushee, a Boston firm member, is very wealthy.
Amsterdam reports a Zeppelin was destroyed in a wind storm near Chatelineau in southern Belgium on Monday according to frontier correspondents.
Mrs. Doris Hunt of Brockton refuses to leave Plymouth county house of correction saying she will stay imprisoned until the man she loves completes his sentence imposed this week by Judge O Connell. Attorneys and court officials call it the strongest case in court history and counsel John J. Geogan admits he is baffled.

Mrs. Sarah Carr slipped on a tin roof at 24 Church Street during Gloucester Flag Day celebrations and fell 60 feet to her death.
