Schooner Jennie Rogers bound New London to New York with granite foundered and sank off Faulkner's Island in the sound. Captain Keefe and four crew were rescued exhausted clinging to the tender. one man drowned. Captain Durkee of the Honeybrook rescued survivors and brought them to New Haven.
