In Niagara Falls on June 11, mediators and Mexican and U S delegates agreed that authority transfer to the new provisional government should occur by a method other than Huerta naming a foreign affairs minister who would then ascend to the presidency. The conciliatory tone and agreement mark progress in pacification plans.
The method provided by the Mexican constitution will be abandoned after the United States demanded that assent would imply recognizing General Huerta's constitutional authority. The mediation conference had debated the issue for three weeks with threats of continuation being raised for three days.
Jacob Rosenberg and Charles B. Reegan were arrested after discharge from Boston City Hospital. Rosenberg is charged with murdering his sister in law Rosie Rosenberg at Minot Street shop on June 4. Reegan charged with assault to kill his wife at Pinckney Street on May 9. Both men attempted suicide. Rosenberg recovered quickly while Reegan cut his throat. Guards watched each patient. Reegan’s address is 36 Myrtle Street.
Kenneth D. Douglas claiming a PhD from McGill University and a social worker author was arrested at Fenway studio Ipswich street Back Bay by Inspector Sheehan. He faces Newark New Jersey warrants for false pretences and perjury and is labeled a worth less check operator by authorities.
Douglas, once a Boston newspaper writer linked with Billy Sunday and William Allen White, reportedly deserted his young wife Marjory Stoneham of Taunton Mass after a June Newark marriage. He vanished after a trip to the White Mountains and a warned arrest from Newark police.

In Hartford on June 11, Mrs. Eliz abeth A C Holman of Waterville Maine scored in her $50 000 conspiracy case. Attorney David E Fitzgerald of New Haven exposed the former husband’s star witness Dr Shaller E Law ton and presented two letters Law ton wrote to Holman during their divorce suit.
Mrs. Frank Paxton of Arvada Colorado regained sight after lifelong blindness. A childhood eye injury left one eye destroyed and the other nearly blind. She recently married mining engineer Paxton and, after a newspaper corner struck her temple, exclaimed I must be dying I can see.

Militants detonated a bomb beside Edward the Confessor’s chair in Westminster Abbey during Home Secretary Sir Ronald McKenna’s address in the Commons on suppressing the wild women campaign. The blast caused limited damage but disrupted the speech, driving members to the street.
A small nickel plated bomb exploded near the coronation chair at 5 o clock, causing minor damage to wood and stone while a crowd of visitors filled the abbey square. Scotland Yard says the blast likely came from a late sightseer. authorities investigate with explosives officials.

The Alumni Association of Boston College gave 38000 to Very Rev Charles W Lyons S J, the new college president, at a banquet held at Youngs Hotel. Edward A McLoughlin presented the fund on behalf of the executive committee. Lyons received a standing ovation from about 400 alumni. Senior class members also attended as guests.
The Senate on June 11 passed by 50 to 35 a bill repealing the coastwise shipping tolls exemption for the Panama canal. The measure returns to the House, which is expected to accept the Simmons Norris amendment preserving U S rights under the Hay Pauncefote treaty. The vote followed a lengthy debate.
