Attorney General Harmon Questions Silver Coinage Policy
Washington June 11 Attorney General Harmon spoke on the monetary question saying he wants the dollar to be as good as any other and questions free coinage of silver. He argued the government may redeem silver with gold to keep parity but has no obligation or ability to guarantee it and warned silver could dominate if coinage were unlimited.
