Fiendish Fenian Plot to Blow Up Liverpool Town Hall

The Daily Telegraph reports police received word that Fenian networks in America planned attacks across Britain including Chester. A dynamite attempt to blow up Liverpool town hall failed last night. two Liverpool Irishmen, McKevett and Roberts, were captured with evidence linking them to Fenianism and cash. A document referencing O Donovan Rossa was found. authorities expect charges under the Malicious Injuries to Property Act. The Times notes plots likely hatched in America by emissaries, with some Fenian skirmishers reportedly bringing explosives.
