Submarine S-20 Launched at Quincy by Fore River Yard
The United States submarine 8 2 built at Fore River from the Electric Boat design was launched at 6 30 yesterday afternoon at Quincy. Miss Anne Claggett Zell of Baltimore niece of Captain Harry W Williams naval constructor at the shipyards was sponsor and received a traveling clock in recognition of her role.

State Will Teach Women in Thrift and Education Program
The Massachusetts State Board of Education extends a program to teach women to sew and remodel clothes. Woburn will pilot the effort with Mme Jeanette Squier guiding a Grange class starting Friday at 2:30 PM in Grange Hall. The state funds the instructor. groups of two or more may apply for classes via room 217, State House.
