Greenfield to Host 150th Anniversary Parade

Baer’s Daughter’s Wedding First Under New Ritual

Holy Communion Service for Catholic Alumni Sodality

About 200 members of the Catholic Alumni Sodality received holy communion in a 9 o'clock mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception celebrated by Rev. Joseph H. Rockwell S J. After the service they held a breakfast in the new gymnasium and conducted the association's closing meeting for the year. The Rt. Rev. Thomas D. Beaven laid the corner stone of the Academy of the Sacred Heart on Gange Street in Worcester. The ceremony at 5 pm was led by Bishop Beaven with Rev. James P. Syndicate Buys Halifax Line Steamer and Wharf Property

A Boston Halifax syndicate purchased the Canada Atlantic and Plant line steamer Halifax and related wharf properties for 250000 dollars. The deal includes wharf leases at Hawkesbury and Charlottetown and the charter of the steamer Olivette. Alfred S. Hayes and F. J. Daggett arranged the sale. Halifax investors include George E. Brown Waived His Rights In Fugitive Case

Harry D. Brown a 38 year old from New York City was arrested Saturday by police inspectors on a fugitive from justice charge. He was taken to New York yesterday afternoon by Detective-Sergeant Price after waiving rights and agreeing to return without papers. Brown is accused of stealing a $1000 diamond bracelet from Minon Coriat of 407 Broadway on April 3.
