Somerville Lecturer Dies After Street Car Jump
Patrick J. Gaul 38 of 729 Tremont Street suffered a broken thigh and was hospitalized after arguing with Joseph Lydon near the West Boston bridge at 8:20 p.m. Gaul jumped onto a moving street car and fell onto the iron bridge, causing his injuries. Miss Laura E. Geddings 44 of Somerville died in Plainfield New Jersey hospital after an appendectomy. She had come to lecture on physical education three weeks earlier and leaves a mother and one brother in Somerville.
