It endorsed national platforms of 1876 and 1880, called for government reform, lower tariffs, civil service reorganization, and stronger accountability for moneyed institutions. Four delegates-at-large and twelve district delegates to the national convention were chosen, all uninstructed and unanimous for Tilden.
