Winding Down at Treasury Sparks Shuffle of Officials

Rumor says before Secretary Windom departs the city tomorrow he will deliver notices to several officers that their services will no longer be required. Named among those possibly affected are Assistant Secretary Upton and Custodian Pitney with others to follow in the coming days.
