Review of the Boston Market for the Week Ending June 1

The market reports firm activity with limited supply across items. Ashes show firm stocks with Pots at 3.94 each and pearls scarce at 12 cents per the hundred. Candles steady with Sperm 32 to 35 cents, Adamantine 20 to 32, moulds 16 to 17 cents. Coal quiet with English Channel at 20 to 25 per ton, Pictou and Sydney 87.5 to 90.0, retail coal at 13 per ton. Coffee firm yet quiet with government sale of 1000 bags St Domingo at 37 to 38.50 and Kip 42.25 to 43.00 per bag, first-hand stock catalogued by Hale, Aildreth & Co.
