Mrs. Ebenezer Dewing of Sharon was killed when the car returning from Monson skidded off State highway at Collier's Corner near Leicester, broke a fence, struck Samuel Shepard's home, and turned turtle. Miss Sarah Dewing and Miss Margaret Dewing, plus driver Carl Brown, were injured.

Mrs Dewing, 69, died after a car ran off a steep grade and struck the Shepard house in Revere. Miss Margaret Dewing, 24, was injured with a broken leg and scalp wounds while Miss Sarah Dewing had head wounds. Delbert Rhind, fiancé of Margaret, is named.
