Desperate North End fight ends in eight shots fired

A fatal exchange occurred near Prince Street and Lafayette Avenue in North End at about 1 AM. Leopoldo Santoniello Gaetano Torino and Pagano fired ten shots at Crecienza Pa olo, injuring him in the head, thigh, and groin. Officers intervened as a crowd rioted, and Pa olo lay critically wounded at Massachusetts General Hospital. The Italians were reportedly of previously decent character.

A Canadian tornado swept McLennan Mountain in Pic Tou county on Sunday. A cloud burst caused torrents washing hillside trenches ten feet deep and wrecking watercourses. Lightning Strikes Expressman in Watertown

July 30. Mr. Patrick Nally an expressman in Watertown was struck by lightning while driving along Main Street. The bolt traveled along the trolley wire of the electric railway, jumped from it and struck him. He was knocked unconscious but not seriously injured.
