Boston Man Wakes After 44 Days Sleep

Endicott C. Allen of Boston Mass woke briefly after 44 days in Monmouth Memorial Hospital Long Branch. A nurse found him awake for thirty minutes then he slept again. He has been ill since June 14 and doctors see renewed hope for recovery as he remains well nourished with no medicines beyond tonics. He spoke with staff during the wakeful interval.
