Boston man Fritz Reinhard identified after park suicide

The body found in Central Park was identified at the morgue as Fritz Reinhard formerly of Boston. A nameless man said Reinhard once ran a Boston sanitarium that failed, leaving him morose, with two Brooklyn brothers-in-law handling burial plans. A telegram ordered the body sent to Boston, and an undertaker removed the body.

Body of Selina Opelstrom Found in Neponset River

Hyde Park police recovered the body of Miss Selina Opelstrom from the Neponset River after she disappeared Friday. The 42 year old Cape Cod native had lived in Hyde Park since her parents died and was believed to have jumped into the river after expressing fear of being killed. Medical Examiner Sturtevant viewed the body and Undertaker Graham took charge.

Mr George Wallace of the Journal staff and Miss Minnie McSherry were married Sunday evening by Rev Edward Connelly. Miss Marguerite McSherry was bridesmaid and Mr Ralph Kendrick Smith best man. The couple has taken apartments at the New Rexford.

Rumor of Belle Memphis sinking near Memphis story

In Memphis, rumors spread that the steamer Belle Memphis of the Anchor Line sank about sixty miles north of town with about forty lives lost. No confirmation could be obtained as telegraph lines along the river are scarce and no one aboard could be reached yet. The Belle Memphis had been due in Memphis last night and carried many Memphians on a cheap excursion to St. Louis.

Valkyrie JJ sailed for America from Campbellton Scotland with a United Press representative aboard a tug following. Rain fell as the crew boarded at 11 o clock and spent hours adjusting compasses. At 2 45 p m the yacht slipped her moorings and the Vanguard towed her out to sea amid a continuous shore and vessel crowd ovation. Sunday liquor seizures across multiple streets and houses

Division 11 officers seized two gallons of beer at 26 Withington street and searched James Cady's Gordon street house uncovering ale. Wyzanski at 12 Crescent place held a vacant site with nine gallons of lager formerly there. Di Talma, 61 Medford street, contributed two and a half gallons. Rose McGuinness at 9% Charlestown street reported an empty barrel with crepe after losing about two gallons. Division 5 seized a small quantity from Annie Morris, 182 Castle street. Liquor squad took 212 gallons of whiskey and a small amount of beer from Julia O Reagan, 667 Saratoga street, East Boston. Division 10 recovered 2 quarts whiskey from Walter Mitchell, 42 Prentiss street, Roxbury, and 11 quarts ale plus 3 quarts whiskey from Elia Mulrahen, 610 Parker street. Division 6, South Boston, reported Thomas Rich 2 Bishop's yard 2 8 gallons lager beer, James Rich 3 Bishop's yard 3 8 gallons lager beer and half pint whiskey, Timothy Mullen, 98 West Fifth street 2 8 gallons lager beer, Elizabeth Owens, 209 Athens street 7 8 gallons lager beer and half pint whiskey.
