Contreras Threatens Seizure of German Ships in Harbor

Contreras declares plans to seize all German vessels in the port unless the Vigilante is returned to insurgents. Germany freed the Vigilante crew to avoid reprisals against the German Consul and family in Cartagena. Insurgents will delay the seizure for three days to allow telegraph instructions from Berlin.

Brooklyn Trust Company Faces Calls as Mills Estate Debate Rises

The Brooklyn Defalcation headlines Mills estate coverage, suggesting a ring among directors using Mills as a figurehead. About 1,975,000 in call loans are being recalled rapidly, with 900,000 in liquid assets available. Depositor lists remain unissued, and Plymouth Church reportedly held a large balance recently, now down to 17,000.
