Nine Regiment Men Crash in Northboro Car Collision

Seventy eight Emmet Guards passengers on a Worcester Consolidated streetcar rear ended a regular car west of Northboro at 3 06 pm. Four men suffered serious injuries Private J E Powers D J Driscoll S J Gorman and T J Clifford. The accident occurred when a special car carrying Emmet Guards ran into a stopped regular car. four injured men were taken home while others walked to Worcester.

Fire endangers 25 in Middlesex street blaze

A wooden house at 72 Middlesex Street suffered a top floor fire around 12 15 this morning. Fire caused about 50 dollars in damage. Michael J Tobin alerted Box 66, entered to wake residents, and helped evacuate five families including Theodore De Marr Mrs Splaine Mrs Driscoll C W Duffin and Robert Fall. Neighbors cared for evacuees as the blaze lasted about ten minutes. The owner is A M Currier.

Sudden Visit from Emmons at City Police Station

Chairman Emmons made a surprise appearance at H rer street station as roll call began. The lieutenant saluted, and officers stood at attention while the judge praised the division for recent work, especially at the North station, calling the North End a place where law is observed. He left for North Union station.

Oliver Sherwood, missing Southport National Bank cashier, was arrested in Panama City today and will be returned to Southport. Body of A. W. Phinney Found Near Granite Avenue Bridge

Harbor police recovered the body of A. W. Phinney a Dorchester real estate dealer who died by his own act in the Neponset River. The body was found near the Granite avenue bridge not far from where he was last seen and was identified before being taken to Undertaker Crane of Ashmont.

Sleepy 11 year old boy dies after 45 foot fall

Frank Sullivan aged 11 fell asleep with his head on a window sill in a fourth floor Hampden Street home. He toppled to the ground about 10:55 p m suffering a fractured skull and multiple injuries. He was taken to City Hospital where doctors say he cannot survive. Witnesses described a gruesome scene.

Armenians Held for Grand Jury in Shooting Case

Samuel Gulezian and Leon Bedigian were held for the grand jury on $7000 bail after Judge Bolster found probable cause in the Roxbury District Court for shooting a fellow Armenian, Peter Kureghian. Richard Burns was struck by a outbound car near the Public Garden entrance to the subway, died at City Hospital after head concussion.
