Postponement of the Constitutional Bills in Paris Assembly
In Paris on July 24 the Assembly postponed the Constitutional bills after votes on budget matters. Marquis de Castellane won the postponement, while Malatre′s motion for prorogation failed only by a margin. The Left voiced irritation as the Rally near dissolution loomed. President MacMahon congratulated the Duke de Broglie on his yesterday’s speech.
