Stolen $1200 Reported by Brockton Man

Patrick McManus, 50, residing at 18 Water Street Brockton, reported to Station 3 at 11 p m that $1200 was stolen in Boston yesterday afternoon or evening. He had about $500 with him, claiming it was all he had left from $1800 drawn from the bank yesterday. He was intoxicated when making the report, but police believe his statements are substantially correct.

Newton Aldermen Act to Abolish Police Captain Post

Newton Aldermen held a special meeting to abolish the police captain office and create six sergeants.
