The Boston Post notes July is the window to add names to Assessors lists and announces a Democratic Ratification Meeting at Faneuil Hall on Thursday evening. It argues the party in power claims immigrants won't fill southern lands if they vote Democratic, and warns blacks may lose Bureau benefits if siding with former masters.
