Bandit Pursuit Through Fenway Ends With Arrest

Three armed robbers stole an automobile on Arundel Street Back Bay. The gang leader, a 20 year old, fired point blank at Policeman Edward G. Kennedy before being captured. Two accomplices fled as more than 40 officers pursued. Late last night two boys were arrested on suspicion.

Robberies Reported as Two Juveniles Arrested

Two youths named Hyman Housanan aged 17 of Marble Street Roxbury and John Morian aged 14 of Tremont Street 967 were arrested after a late night robbery. About 3 o'clock the excitement began when the trio stole a machine from in front of Georgess Powell’s home.

Expected Death In A Few Hours At City Hospital

The Rev. Garrett J. Barry pastor of St Philip's Church on Harrison Avenue remains in critical condition at City Hospital. Doctors say death is certain to come within a few hours after his Tuesday operation.

U boats' Work Is at Low ebb

London July 18. Fourteen British ships of over 1600 tons were sunk by submarine or mine in the last week according to the official report tonight. Four British vessels under 1600 tons were sunk, and eight fishing vessels.
